Any way to check outer housing to axle bushing concentricity ?
The bottom cap could be shimmed to attain vertical location, then shim upper to attain pre-load. Cap shims to adj one way, shims under cone if other direction needed. I suppose an axle could be installed, and a mag-base dial indicator would show concentricity to the machined hole in the outer housing?
Might be a solution without a problem? Do the axle bushings wear worse in the vertical side? Or did I just re-invent SOP?
