The breakaway torque of 25lb ft is correct for axles using the bronze upper cone. The Spicer service manuals for the HD44 and 60 series front drive axles do mention different breakaway torque for the closed knuckles using both bronze upper cones and tapered roller bearings. The HD44 and 60 closed knuckle front axles use the 23100/23256 cone & cup....same as what you're referring to on the WDX-WM300 front axle. On the Spicer axle using bronze upper cone, 15-35 lb.ft is specified. On the Spicer axle using upper tapered roller bearing, 10-15 lb.ft is specified. Although we are talking about 2 different axle mfg's, both use the same bearings and you'd probably be ok using the Spicer preload data for the upper roller conversion on the Dodge axle.
