I think it would be sure to bind up on anything resembling hard stuff. The difference is about 5% while the 4.09/4.10 is less than 1%. I think tire circumference would make as much difference as the 1% if not more. I have had my original 201 transfer case in my W200 plus 2 different 205's. The first 2 came out of 4x pretty easily but this current one is a bear on any kind of surface. Nothing changed but the transfer case.
