on a v-8 there are several new technologies. i like the one that has a bolt within a bolt. the outside bolt has the appropriate thread and length to attach the manifold. the 'inside bolt' has a allen head and when tightened, expands the outer bolt. they work well and keep headers and manifolds from working loose. there are also bolts that have a teardrop shaped washer that is applied after the bolt is torqued down. the washer locks the bold in position because it will hit the manifold or header tubes if it spins.
