I did check on those Titan tires. They were about twice the price that the Power-Wagon owner said he paid for them. But, he bought them 3 years ago, and new cheaper Denmans were still available last year. Now, the Titans sound pretty good.

I was working at a customer's tool room for 3 months. They had an old CASE/Drott dock crane. It had those style of rings. From what I see, they are a safety type ring. The inner is split, the outer is not. No way the inner can fly off the rim under pressure once the outer ring is seated over it. I think the rims on the crane were Budd also but with a different bolt pattern from our Dodges.
