Pulling the connectors out of the bulkhead one by one will isolate each circuit. With an ohm meter you can test your key switch to see if it works. I dont see how a key switch would create a short and burn the wiring like you say. You could then test each wire on a plug and if you find a short theres your problem circuit. You have a short somewhere else.


If the truck went stone cold dead it could be the amp gauge died on you. If this happens the truck loses all electrical. Nada zero zilch...........
