You have a leak somewhere in the fuel system sucking air. Put a short piece of clear hose just before the fuel lift pump. If you see air in the line you know its pre lift pump. If no air bubbles, then you know its something after the lift pump. Since you put a new lift pump on, I believe we can rule out the lift pump as being the source.

I had a air leak issue on my M37. The banjo bolt and bleeder at the fuel filter has a special washer on each side of the banjo bolt. This washer has some type of seal material bonded to the hole in the washer. The seal material on the outside washer was all deteriorated. I replaced both washers, problem gone.
