The neighbors house three doors down caught fire a couple of months ago and the smoke detector woke her up in time for her and her young boy to get out of the house safely. Turns out the cause was mice chewing on the wiring. I changed my battery in my smoke detector that day. Thanks for the reminder Joe/Nick.
