In the fiftys & sixtys ma-mopar used a thin piece of zinc between the leaves to lube and provide a anti friction of sorts to make the cars ride better, I don't see any reason why a little lube of some kind would hurt. how about a liberal amount of lock-ease?? would that not do the trick?? I think a little freedom of movement would help. Dave.
