Yes, that is correct. Thats what I do to keep the truck from bouncing on its springs. I want it solid on the trailer. The trailer suspension will handle any bumps.
The brake lines are not a issue as the hard line terminates in rubber brake line near the end of the axle. Easy to route the chain away from the rubber brake lines.
