make a bracket that mounts externally to the outside of the tranny and add a micro switch that is activated by the transmission handle shifting into reverse. alternatively, i have seen a bracket that placed a push switch with extension on the back of a tranny cover so that when the reverse shift rod went backward, it activated the switch. or just add a toggle on the dash with a buzzer to remind you to turn them off.
