The service manual is the best. Also, I painted yellow arrows on the backing plates to show what direction to turn the adjusting bolts. (I have my senior moments while under a classic from time to time.) I also marked the adjusting bolts with a yellow mark to show the location of the tallest part of the adjusting cam. The person who owned my PW had used a real big wrench and turned that bolt so hard it bent the cam out, didn't work any more. I don't know how to attach pictures, but you get the idea.
