You're exactly right...the sheetmetal tailight adapter has a funny indentation, I guess for strength, just like the license bracket. I have a license bracket here I could have laser'd...it just depends if enough people want them. They're cheap...a few dollars each but setup is around $200 to get it drawn & entered onto their computer...sooo as long as 20 or so guys want them...cheap. If one guy wants one...$210+ whatever Sammy will charge us to press that indentation :)
I've had the light adapters laser cut from an original & they're cheap but in order to form them like the original...a die needs to be made.
We have a press here that could possibly press that....I can't see it being difficult with 14g or whatever thickness that is but if ours won't do it...I know a guy in KY that builds PW Crewcabs with a nice new shop & new 150T press :) :)
