That's what makes no sense to me. The pattern I made is pretty much foolproof but as you can see the holes don't line up. Thhe miliary is clear off where the WM is. You can see in this pic that the sheetmetal has not been rewelded. This view is from the inside and you can't can't a grinder/sander in there.
I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't seen it. My only guess is that the WC40 never had a Driver's side wiper either? I know some came without passenger sides. This was one of the last ones made and it had a few oddities with it. The Date of delivery tag was never stamped either.
