My M1009 Blazer's Stanadyne pump had the advance piston froze up. It actually lost speed when given full throttle with the brakes locked. I moved it as far as it would go, about 1/16", which made a biiig improvement. Ran excellent when I replaced the pump with the newest HMMV pump- stainless internals, stainless sleeves.
