I found out that not all hydroboost units are equal, or at least the components that come with them. I bought a new unit on ePay that was for a Mustang. It looked identical to all of the others I'd been researching. This one even came with the push rod between the unit and the master cylinder. I have never been able to get a full pedal since I installed it. Finally took it to a local repair shop today. Turns out the push rod was about an inch too short. They installed a longer rod, and NOW I've got brakes that will "stop on a dime" as the saying goes. I think they made the new rod a touch too long though. The brakes stayed applied as I got onto the highway, to the point of lugging the cummins down and then smoking some. Waited a few minutes and all was well. Made it home with minimal brake useage. Will shorten the rod tomorrow. I did this conversion before Paul(in NY) posted his parts list. I'm sure the chevy rod he lists works perfect from the start
