Is that even a problem? I'm curious what others will say, but it's an odd place for a stress crack, being as how there shouldn't be any stress there. It's also in a spot where I would be leery of putting any heat on it because there's no place for the metal to expand to without putting lots of stress somewhere else. Maybe just drill a small hole at the end of the crack to relieve the stress, clean it real well, fill it with metal-filled epoxy to keep the oil in, and call it good? If it was me, I wouldn't risk wrecking a good PTO for a small crack in a non-stressed place.

If you must repair it properly, strip everything out of the casting, "V" out the crack, drill a hole at the end of it, clean it well, heat the whole thing with a rosebud or in a fire until it's almost red, put plenty of flux on the crack, and braze it, with just enough heat to melt the brazing rod but not burn the zinc out of the brazing, then bury it in dry sand or vermiculite, or wrap it up in some old fiberglass insulation and let it cool slowly.

Also bear in mind that after heating a casting, it's liable to warp, which may get the bearings out of alignment or make the flat ground surfaces no longer flat.
