It looks like a vacuum-powered washer, judging from the hose nipple sticking out of it. Our '60 T-bird had a vacuum-powered washer (and wipers). So, perhaps it will work despite saying "Lucas" on it?

Regarding Lucas, I worked on a Vauxhall for a lady once. It was sort of a 3/4 scale Chevy, with Lucas electrics, which was of course the reason it needed me to work on it. Another brilliant bit of British engineering on the Vauxhall was the placement of the gas tank filler on the horizontal surface of the rear deck just to the left of the trunk lid. Actually, it wasn't exactly on a horizontal surface. It was directly at the bottom of a "gutter" that ran between trunk lid and fender on each side. Thus, roughly half the rain that fell on the rear end of the car ran directly down into the fuel filler. The British engineers had anticipated that and had mounted the fuel inlet pipe in a can that provided a moat around the filler pipe to catch the water and drain it out through a tiny hole in the bottom. The hole, of course, would immediately get clogged by anything that was handy, at which point the water would fill up the can and run down into the fuel tank. As I recall, after pumping a lot of water out of the fuel system, and fixing something with the generator, I got it running and we took it for a drive on the freeway, where it was like driving a 1960 Chevy sedan, only 25% smaller.
