Man O Man that really SUCKS!!!!

I have never seen your trucks, but always wanted to, sad to hear about this happening!!

I get pretty nervous with the trucks I have sitting outside, and always fear some might going MIA if I go away for a few weeks. To most they might look like junk or scrap,, but to me they are almost priceless,,

Last week I had two mexicans stop by my place, wondering if I needed any scrap trucks hauled away?

Neither one of them could hardly speak a lick of english,, I told them that NONE of my trucks were scrap metal!! I think that they got the point, but it makes me nervous to even think about it,, I mean I have a forklift sitting here with keys in it and ready to rock and roll, if someone needed to load a bunch of iron in a hurry.

Problem is if someone wants something bad enough, it does not matter if it is under lock and key or not, they will find a way to take it anyway,, just more planning for them.

I know a guy not far from me last year he went away for two weeks, came home and his Big pole barn was broken into, he likes old fords trucks,, the thieves took every radiator out of every truck in his pole barn, almost 30 of them, and they did not take them out nice!! They did a lot of damage to other parts just to get the radiators,, so they had to be scrappers looking for another fix. So far no one has been caught, or have any leads as to who did it.

Who ever did took your trucks, must have taken sometime planing it,, I mean taking 9 trucks that dont run and drive is not something that will happen in a hour or two it would take sometime to load them up, they must have planned it so they knew no one would be around to catch them. I think I would be going to every scrap yard with in 300 miles atleast to try and find them!!!

Last fall, I was in kansas city MO, visiting my sister. I bought a 1960 Dodge D100 pickup for parts off of craigslist, I took the truck to my sister house pulled the parts I wanted and took the rest of the truck to a scrapyard to get rid of the truck, none of the three scrapyards I went to in Missouri would take the truck because I didnt have any paper work with the truck,, I didnt think it would be a problem getting rid if the rest of this truck,, there was not much left of this truck, it was pretty much a bare cab on the frame and the bed, I kept the motor, trans, doors, all the inside parts and bunch of other small parts off of the outside, and the rims, they said that they didnt care that it was only a shell, they would not take it without any paper work. They told me I had to have paper work in Missouri to get rid of the truck, they told me in Kansas I could get rid of it, with only a copy of my drivers license and the vin writen on a piece of paper, so I went the 10 miles over the border to Kansas, and went to the first scrapyard I found, they unloaded the truck, I handed them my drivers license, and a piece of paper that I had writen the vin # on for them, they told me to keep it, they didnt need it because it was only a shell of a truck they didnt want anything from me. I didn't stand around to argue, I let them weigh the truck and they gave me the $$ for scrap and I left, I was just happy to get rid of it as I thought I was going to have to haul it back to Colorado to get rid of it. If I was you, I would spend more time looking around scrapyards in Kansas then Missouri, only becasue of my experience last fall.

I saw this pic on flicker a few years ago and thought that they were your trucks??
