Cops dont care about wasting time hunting for property. They fill out the report and its your problem with the insurance, Buddy had his 68 Charger ripped off a few years ago. He did get it back but only after he printed flyers and mailed one to each police department. Even posted a big ad in the newspaper. Some guy on night deliveries seen the car parked on the side of the road and remembered the newspaper ad and called the cops. Lucky for him he had not turned it over to insurance yet and got the car back, Gas gauge wasnt correct and the thugs ran out of gas driving it.
