I dont think the lead being gone is gonna cause that much of a problem. I think we probably have better fuel today as far as it being consistant. Our oil technology is way way better then back in the day. Lead a lot of the time was used as a way to raise octane and these low compression flatheads didnt need any high octane fuel.
