Since I had to take the pan off to tighten up the nuts on the flywheel I decided to change the old oil pump. What is the best way to remove and re-install it. I did a search through the archives and saw to prime the new pump before putting it in,so I already know that much. As I have not done this before is there anything else I need to do before removing or installation of new one? Do I have to remove the distributor to do the job or can the job be done without removal? Didn't get a real good look at it yet as I did not have a lot of time on Wednesday night when I took the pan down. Just do not want to star changing it going in blind.
First I will get the new clutch, rebuilt transmission(tomorrow afternoon) and transfer case(either Wednesday night or Saturday morning) installed and rebuilt drive lines back on before I tackle the oil pump.

Thanks for the help,

Chris Becker
