I was given a link to some movie footage of Winsted, CT from 1948. The clip is a drive down Main St. As I watched it I thought wouldn't it be great if a Power Wagon was in there. Sure enough at about 5:14 of this 9 minute clip there's a truck parked on the left. Sure looks like a 1/2 ton WC ambulance with the sides cut open, but can't tell for sure. Take a look and tell us what you think. It's a long movie, but if you like looking at Main St. USA in 1948 it's worth it. Click the "Play Movie" button under the fellow behind the wheel of his Buick. He had the movies made to show his relatives in Italy. The pic above is a shot from another part of the full film. That was in the photo section of the website on Reel 1. Sure looks like a WDX to me, but the left front fender seems clipped or something. I tried to capture a still of the movie, but couldn't figure that one out. Also, watching John Wayne in In Harms Way, there is a PW ambulance in the background on the docks in San Fran when a character returns home from being missing off a destroyer that was sunk. Never saw that movie PW before.
