On a Dodge, you could mount the motor under the bed, and hook it to the third out put shaft on the transfer case. It would gener-ate when not motor-vating. May need a big switch in the dash, ala a welder, to switch polarity as you want to slow down?

The flat head 230 is only 100ft/lbs, aren't electric motors constant torque? What size motor put out 100ft/lbs?
