78 is the last year for the big block trucks, so that in itself makes it more desirable. The big PW decal sounds like it's a Macho PW, a sport package of sorts.
The truly wierd thing is the use of a Dana 60 in the back of a W150, which makes it a 1/2 ton. Even more wierd is the 5 lug Dana 60. Are you positive that everything on the truck is original?
In my opinion, you should leve the truck alone, don't part it out. Sell it to someone who'll restore it, and buy an earlier model 440 engine instaed if that's all you're looking for. Even if your truck is wrecked, there are MANY people would give their Right n... well, you know what I mean, for it, and probably gladly swap an engine as part of the deal!
