You can drop the engine right into your truck. HOWEVER, you'll need a later modle transmission. The bog block has a different bolt pattern and it is integral with the trans. casing. The '62-65 transmission WILL NOT work with out a lot of fabrication. A big block tranny will bolt right in.

I'm in the process of redoing a 440 for my '84 W-150 so I'm going through the same thing you are. You'll need a set of exhaust manifolds for a 1972-78 truck, not car. You'll need a set of motor mounts for a B.B. truck too. Make sure you have the mount ears on your block. I'm pretty sure you do but you're there and I'm not.

I'm planning on using headers on my truck. The stock manifolds are cracked and in poor shape. Heddman has a set for anywhere from $220 to $290 depending on where you get them. Summit carries them but are a bit high.

Your transmission from the Imperial is worth a few bucks. The '62-65 was used with the push button shifter. In '65 it used a regular lever but was still cable shifted. If someone is wanting to put a BB engine is a car of that vintage, they will want it. The tailshaft is also designed for a different drive shaft.
