P-18 is a Plymounth engine, maybe a 218, but I don't know the cu. in. or year(s). They are not original engines to your vehicles. Most likely they are the result of a civilian engine swap, as the U.S. military would have had correct engines and parts in the supply channel.

If your carryall and command car are WC 1/2 ton, the engine serial number should start with T-207, T-211 or T-215 depending on its series. If they are WC 3/4 ton, the engine serial number should start ith T-214. Tell us the vehicle VIN numbers and perhaps we can narrow down a bit what engines your trucks had originally.
