A 70's vintage LA series small block should go in with minimal fuss at the rear using the 57 mechanical bellhousing. The front will require side mount frame brackets be fabricated.
Hemi heads will go on a poly 315 with right cam and push rods. There are many parts for early hemi's from a few vendors and the same block is used for poly's so rebuilding your engine should not be a problem. If your interested a 354 should also bolt up in lieu of a 315-325.
