I've had bad luck re-arching springs.
Either they went "flat" again shortly, or broke a leaf. And no, it wasn't an incompetent shop. I went to more than one shop.
I think there is a point at which the useful service life of the metal is played out.
I quit re-arching springs and just had new ones made. Never had a lick of trouble since, though my wallet was lighter.
