Good points. this one is claimed to be the pedal, and they are adding an thin ship to the pedal return spring as the fix. Now don't get me wrong, I hate Drive by wire and dread the coming days of Steer and brake by wire.

I'm not sold on the thin washer as the fix, I suspect it's the illusion of a fix, while they do the software hack. The spring is long enough that the thin shim can't be changing the spring force enough to fix the problem.
