have you ever driven one? I have driven a gas powered one on a 400 mile trip and the experience was completely agonizing. A WC seems like a rocket ship compared to the unislug I drove. everything on the unimog was new or rebuilt also. I look at both of the vehicles as off road vehicles that can be driven on pavement if needed. So all around I would pick a WC52 with a heater and some 11.00 x 16 XZLs over any unislug. I have worked on 100s of Mercedes and they are an overrated taxi cab for many years. some sub assemblies last longer tthan average but cost of owner ship is higher when you cross into the 100K mile world.
