Hi guys,

Well it's been a while since I've been on here. I am finally getting ready to put a new clutch, rebuilt transmission and transfer case in our '48 flat fender, and seeing how it's my first time doing it on this old girl was wondering if there is any special tricks I need to know.

I put it on the lift this afternoon and have gotten all the drive shafts and linkages removed. I still need to remove the clutch pedal linkage and PTO shaft to the winch yet so making progress slowly. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Last time I posted here I just got done doing a valve job and doing some little maintenance stuff on her. Got her running real good this last summer. We took the old girl out a few times and the darn clutch started grinding and feeling kinda funny so it 's time to do that now, seems like the past neglect of previous owners is starting to catch up.
Next after I get the tranny and clutch done the wiring harness is going to be re-done as it's starting to give me fits. I've got new harness for her so it will be going in soon.
Our truck has been sitting idle too long and Carston keeps asking to go for a ride so I guess I better get busy!

Thanks for the advice,
Chris Becker
