Vacuum Brake Booster Location?

Can anyone with a vacuum brake booster tell me how and where it's mounted? I've got a Midland that needs relocating. I know I can just get creative and fabricate a mounting brace and put it wherever it fits, but if there is a standard location that would be preferred.
