The flight to So Cal went well yesterday. A bit close on the connection in Detroit though. Supposed to have 55 minutes between flights, but the flight out of Burlington was 40 minutes late. They made some of it up, but it was still a mad dash across the Detroit Airport to the other gate. I arrived winded and walked right onto the plane, one of the last passengers on before they shut the doors.
Got picked up by Bill Kerfoot, and taken to the building that he had arranged for it to be stored in. My wife has thought that it would turn out to be a chop shop! (her words: "You had a person you dont know, pick up your brand new truck, take it to a location that you dont know? Fine, you call the insurance company and explain that") Anyway, the truck is very much intact, and everything I had hoped and more! Kind of fun buying a truck sight unseen. Had a nice lunch with Bill and his Wife, then headed North ip to Oxnard to Dan H's House. Had a very relaxing and pleasant evening with Dan and Angela. Went to bed listening to the heavy rains drumming on the roof. The storm of the century is arriving with me, it will probably be my travelling companion across the country.
