According to the VPW catalog, p-84, the bed mounted spare tire bracket at the top center, it mounts to the "front bed panel"
Is this kinda like the same location as the pw's? Passenger side, towards the front of the bed? Does anyone have one these mounts?
If so, can someone give me the dimensions of the mount, including how far the mount keeps the tire from the bed side. And the way it fastens to the bed, does it hook over the top of the bed rails?
Im looking for a way to put a spare tire on my M101 trailer, and was thinking about doing it on the front bed panel, above the a frame tounge.
The problem is, is it needs to stick out far enough to clear the brake handles. Ive considered using the bracket right under that one in the catalog, but its much more pricey.
