... the usual wood here in Southern Arizona is Mesquite, which is pretty hard stuff. If you cut a Mesquite tree in the shade or at dusk, you will see some sparks fly from the cut. I don't know why, but it happens. We also have Ironwood, which is even harder, but doesn't grow very big. Pine, Cedar, and Juniper cut like balsa wood compared to Mesquite and Ironwoods.

Also, the nice people who sent the saw sent a 20" Stihl Rollomatic E bar and two Oregon model 72JGX072G chains. The first chain is working great, has lasted a lot longer so far than previous Home Depot chains.
