The GM 'monojet' is good. Or the old Holley off of a 70's slant six.

Those adapters don't flow worth a darn. Make so much turbulence you are better with the old B&B.

All that said, for all my headers and exhaust and new intake, the dyno didn't show any improvement. B&B 1bbl carb. Next I tried a vacuum gauge at full throttle in 3rd gear. It was making 2" vaccuum! So I got a 2bbl BBD, and now it runs fantastical!

We probably need bigger accelerator pumps for the flat heads. Primitive combustion chamber. I'll be drilling out my nozzles this week. That will allow more fuel to flow through the system sooner, leaving less for later. I hope.
