So, according to the numbers what the engine is is a stock bore 230, that is great! there is almost no ring wear at the top of the cylinder(measurement came from 2" down) which means that I can do a .030 over rebuild. or if cylinders clean up, a stock bore build may be possible. I have a 2x1 intake, that, in tandom with a small cam and some cast iron headers will make some dandy eye candy under the hood and add two or three more horses to the team. your deduction on the model number may be correct, it may be some kind of parts counter code to denote a warrenty or a replacment engine. who knows? any way, I now have a bunch of parts for sale.
