I would encourage you to consider not letting the thought of shipping kill the idea of finding the right bed.
I am not connected with anyone selling a bed, so this is my opinion, but remember that the 2nd series bed is the rarest, and also would be "correct" for your truck (BTW, I have the same year on model as you).
I have seen others over the years post on this forum that they wished they had installed the correct bed on their truck after the fact.
One thing to consider is that from time to time people list that they are either traveling or have a truck going from coast to coast, etc.
Once I got a door home here on the east coast from Colorado that way, and another time I got some diffs from someone in Florida that way too.
