I wanted stainless for my current project and manufacturer didn't have any available. Yhey could custom make them (farm out) but I needed 3 sizes and there was a $100.00 set up fee for EACH size.
Decided to bend them myself and worked out great. Figured out the lengths and made the rollers to bend them. while working with the manufacturer they wanted to know my progress and last I knew he said he was going to start doing them in house using the same method. Bar stock was grade 8 or stronger and nuts were the same. They use the 1 inch tall nuts and they spin on with one finger so no mismatch of threads that I know of.

I reversed the bolts so the nuts were up on this and the half round went around the axle. Kevin
