Many years ago I had 85,f350 460 v8 4spd with a pto winch. The shaft that was spec'ed was to small diameter.
I got stuck,the winch got tight, the engine kept the cable turning right up till the under speced shaft twisted like a pretzel up into the bottom of the oil pan. Something to think about if it breaks.good luck
