Okay folks, heres a new one, the guy that removed the body from the pw I just bought cut the front pto shaft with a torch(da), whats the chances of welding it back together and making it hold. I think I can do it, 100% weld-10018 lo-hy rods, preheat and don't stop till it's done. brush between passes(4 1/2" side grinder) and cool slowly. I know there are several welders on this forum, as am I, I am going to try, but more opinions doesn't hurt. keeping it straight is not an issue, it will be straight it's the rod,and the heat treat.or maybe Tig in some stainless? whadda think?? Dave. PS why does my url have about 200 charators in it ?
