Winch Cable Length Revisited

The "MoPar Parts List for Dodge Power Wagon 1947-1956" lists the cable assembly for the Braden MU-2 winch as part #930 382. It makes no reference to the length of the cable.

The "Specifications-Power Wagon-January, 1951" in the booklet that VPW compiled lists the cable length as 250 ft.

The "Dodge Truck Parts Catalog 1963-1968" lists part #1790 163 as "CABLE and CHAIN, Assembly, 154 ft. long".

This seems to indiate that Dodge reduced the length of the winch cable installed on later model year trucks.
