In 1994 I decided to buy a luxury car for my wife and bought a one owner 1992 MK VII Lincoln LSC. Man, what a beauty in electric current red. I wanted to get it up on a lift so drove out to the local Army post and checked it all out. Afterwards I raised the overhead door just enough to back out and as I started the manager hollered I had raise the door all the way up. No problem, I put the car into what I "thought" was Park and stepped out, left the driver's door open and started running the overhead door up. Imagine my surprise as the car rolls by me. The open drivers door catches the concrete door frame and crumples the door driving it into the fender. I felt like a damned idiot! My loving wife was sitting in the passenger seat and wasn't paying attention until the car came to an abrupt halt. To her credit, she didn't say a word (well not until later!) It's the little things that will bite you in the patootie!
