I love the HEMI in my Magnum, it's not the 6.1L 425hp version but it's already fast enough.

Personally I'd probably look for a take out from a RAM and use the aftermarket harness to put it in the Carryall. The ones in the cars don't really start to sing till they're at about 3500 RPM and above. Not that they don't have low end torque but they don't seem to really come alive till higher RPMs.

I think the truck ones are tuned better for your application. Should be able to get one for a lot cheaper too. Just have to watch it's not one with the MDS system. You'd have to disable it (not hard) to use behind a manual transmission. They're a little smaller and less powerful (5.7L and 340 or so HP) but that's still more than enough for your application.

There's an article on someone who put one in a PW on one of the 4x4 sites. He didn't have the aftermarket harness and had to do a lot more wiring work (plus I think he kept the auto).
