I was at the Lemoore Naval Air Station on Wednesday talking with a young guy that was wearing the new Navy cameo gear (blue in color). I asked how he likes it. He stated “well it would have been nice if it wasn’t patterned after the Marine’s gear, and it’d be pretty good if the buttons didn’t constantly fall off. The material is so, so, and the price is beyond the clothing allowance provided to us.” I asked where it was made, yep – China. I almost became angered at the thought of China making the cloths for our Military personnel. But, why get mad about China making gear, when it is our people accepting the contracts. There are some things that just need to be made in the USA.

I recently bought a temperature gauge made in China. It acts more like an ammeter. At idle it reads 180, but as I speed the engine up, the temp goes up and returns to 180 when the engine returns to idle. I guess I’ll save my money and see if I can find one made in the USA.
