I have a Rhino winich that was a licensed copy.
There have been many products that were licensed copies of good quality, brand names. The licensing agreement includes quality control. After the license agreements ran out, many unlicensed copies have been made which may have had no quality control requirements.
A mechanic in a well known Power Wagon enterprise told me that they used certain Rhino parts in rebuilding winches and found the quality was good.
