I would have to disagree about older asian castings. they have only got better as wee have taught them how to do everything right. old chinese and korean rotors, drums vises etc are the worst junk in the world. now days the brake parts are much better. I have a Rhino winch and it is the only MU2 style winch I have ever seen with broken cast parts. I have bought 3 chinese vises in the last 20 years and they all broke, and were full of bondo. I would never buy a Rhino after seeing the broken one I have now. Oh and I think the Rhinos are Japanese.
