If it easies your mind cruise the coast for a couple of hours ...then put it to work. I've put new engines in trucks that are then immediately shipped on car haulers to Phoenix. Once there they are hooked up to 7k to 12K pound trailers. The break in is a nice easy 5 hour drive down to Baker Ca. Here the trucks are worked hard for a couple of days on the 6% grade on I-15. So I wouldn't worry about hurting the Hemi if you happen to pick up a hitchhiker along the way.
