where I live we are on a well and havenot had any problems so far. Turn on the news and pipes in the city have broken all over. even one main. I can remember deep freezes in the 70s, 80s and 90s. I think greenlake froze over 3 times in the 90s. 1991 was one of the best it snowed for 2 days then was sinle digits to teens for 2.5 weeks. I had the 49 B1 out as taxi for friends and family. when the blast first came in it was high winds and in the upper teens and I picked up an old lady at a bus stop (all buses were stuck in snow/ice) and took her home. she did not want to squeeze in the cab so she sat in the foot of snow in the bed all the way home! tough old lady. lol
